Riot Games has announced the Teamfight Fuse for 2XKO, the newest playable style for the 2v2 fighting game.
In the preview video they announced that Teamfight Fuse would come to 2XKO next week as part of the Season 2 update, along with QOL updates for Duos mode that includes Duo finder and in-game voice chat.
2XKO Teamfight Fuse Details

Teamfight fuse allows two characters to be actively on the screen at once- with Duos players being able to fully move and control their characters while it's active .
Rather than be a full-time fuse like the others, Teamfight is instead based on an activation- both characters need 1 Super bar each to use it, and after a short duration or an Ult is cast, the activation ends.
Despite the name this fuse isn't duos-only, however- Solo players can still use the fuse, with control of the two characters being split up in a manner familiar to Carl Clover players in Blazblue Central Fiction.
It should be noted that while it does give a lot of freedom, the 2XKO Teamfight fuse isn't unblockable city- the second character basically loses their mix as their attacks become converted to mids.
2XKO's fuse system is a huge part of the game's open identity- similar to Grooves and Isms from the Capcom vs SNK and Street Fighter Alpha series, fuses are essentially rulesets for your team to follow, allowing different universal mechanics like chaining supers into each other a la Marvel Vs Capcom or greater flexibility on Active Tag more similarly to games like Blazblue Cross Tag Battle.
