Following last night's explosive, high-intensity performance, LiSA sat down for an exclusive media interview. Even though many local fans do not speak Japanese in their daily lives, the invisible bridge of music and love completely erased any language barriers. With her signature radiant smile, LiSA shared her deep gratitude for her Malaysian fans, the evolution of her 15-year career, and even revealed the secret ritual she does right after returning to her hotel room.

Q1: You've toured Asia before, but this 15th-anniversary tour feels on a different scale. Since many fans in Malaysia and Southeast Asia largely discovered you through anime rather than traditional radio or TV, does the crowd here feel different or special to you in any way?

LiSA: My very first visit to Southeast Asia was Singapore. At that time, I was so surprised and deeply moved to realize that people across the ocean loved anime and my music so much; it made me truly feel the connection. Yesterday was my first headline show in Malaysia, and everyone's voices were incredibly loud! I was so touched to see people of all ages and eras singing along together to songs ranging from "Crossing Field" and "Oath Sign" to the latest Demon Slayer tracks.

Q2: Before yesterday, you last performed in Malaysia at the Penang Anime Matsuri back in 2016. How does it feel to be back in Malaysia again and holding your very first solo concert in the country?

LiSA: Over the years, I feel like I've powered up as a singer, but I feel the crowd in Malaysia has powered up as well! I felt massive energy when I visited Penang back then, but this time both the crowd size and the venue scale were much bigger. I am so happy to be back with a powered-up version of myself and to be able to exchange that incredible energy with a powered-up crowd on stage.

Q3: We saw you rocking the stage with your signature explosive energy and high-intensity movement last night. After such an intense performance, what was the very first thing you did after returning to the hotel to unwind and recover?

LiSA: The very first thing is diving straight into bed (laughs)! But right before that, while the excitement from the concert is still hot and my feelings are still burning, I immediately type everything out to update my social media. Whenever I post, seeing the instant reactions and comments from fans—both local and worldwide—allows me to extend that amazing feeling of happiness even further.

Q4: You have chosen music as your career path. What is the turning point or moment of inspiration that made you realize this is the journey you want to dedicate yourself to? Also, your new album comes right on your 15th anniversary; do you feel like you are closing a chapter with this record or opening a new one? What is different about how you approach making music now versus your debut with Letters to U?

LiSA: I have wanted to be a singer since I was a child. But the definitive moment I realized this was my path was my first time singing for an anime, Angel Beats!, as the voice of the character Yui. Realizing so many people were listening to my voice through that character and experiencing their real, live reactions made me decide to live my life as a singer.

My new album is something that connects my past career with my future career—it is both an ending of a chapter and a beginning of a brand-new one. Back when I debuted with Letters to U, I didn't know left from right; I was just desperately focusing on delivering my own raw feelings, rushing forward blindly. But now, so many people recognize who "LiSA" is—her voice, visuals, and songs. With a great team and community joining me, I can now create a much wider, broader, and more playful variety of music.

Q5: Your Netflix documentary highlights "Another Great Day" as both a personal catchphrase and a core motivation as a performer. With that spirit in mind, what were some of the biggest challenges you faced in planning this tour?

LiSA: The hardest part was definitely deciding on the setlist! Over the past 15 years, I’ve released about 100 to 150 songs. Trying to choose which songs would bring the most joy to everyone for this milestone 15th-anniversary tour was the ultimate puzzle. I’m incredibly grateful to my band members for their musical support, and to the anime production teams who generously provided the anime visuals—it is a dream that came together beautifully because of these 15 years of shared history and bonds.

Q6: Malaysia is a multicultural and multilingual nation. Last night, many fans in the audience don’t even speak Japanese in their daily lives, yet they perfectly captured every emotion in your voice. When language is no longer the main bridge, what kind of sensory channel did you use on stage last night to imprint your rock energy directly into the hearts of these Malaysian fans?

LiSA: That’s a tough question (laughs). But one thing that definitely existed in the venue yesterday was "Love." I could feel the deep love flowing from the audience as they listened and supported me with everything they had, and I too have nothing but love and gratitude for them. Everyone entered the venue with the mindset of "Let's have fun together!" That invisible exchange of energy and soul resonance is what created such an incredibly powerful, beautiful, and precious miracle last night.

Q7: Given the successful ticket sales and amazing response this time, will you consider including Malaysia as a stop on your future tours?

LiSA: Of course! I will definitely come back. After receiving such immense and incredible energy from everyone yesterday, there is no way I won't come back. We must absolutely meet again sometime! Thank you, everyone!
