Ace Combat 8 Release Date Announced

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the release date for its upcoming dogfighting game Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve. 

In a new story trailer unveiled during this morning's State of Play livestream, the publisher revealed that Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve would release on October 2nd 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S as well as PC via Steam. 

In addition, buying the Deluxe Edition of the game includes three days of early access, as well as various in-game rewards. 

Players who pre order the game will also receive a copy of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.

Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve Story

This trailer also marked the first proper look at the upcoming game's story. 

You play as a pilot known as the Wings of Theve- named as such for your legendary prowess in defending the Federation of Central Usea (FCU). 

As the FCU comes under attack by the Republic of Sotoa, your character now must take to the sky with three new comrades in epic fights that include not only other fighter jets but giant land ships.
