Ace Combat 8 's Tasha Has The Internet Ready To Die For A Baddie With Pink Gradients

Ace Combat can be known for many things, like fast-paced combat, epic music and that time they bolted a railgun to a plane, yet Ace Combat 8 is starting to make waves with the character Tasha. 

Originally appearing briefly in the announcement trailer at yesterday's State of Play, Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed the identity of the pink-haired pilot as Tasha Seversky, a member of the player character's own Joker Squadron. 

It helps that her backstory is the kind of dramatic story Ace Combat fans live for- she was an acrobatic pilot who got stranded on the main ship, the Endurance while filming a video- and now she's decided to take up arms and be part of the war effort. 

Given Ace Combat 8 seems to be leaning heavily on information warfare as a theme, it's interesting to see an incredibly conspicuous character who almost looks like she came from another game, and was basically a form of propaganda- join the main character's squad. 

The Internet Reacts To Tasha From Ace Combat 8

Of course, whether or not you want to assume there's some higher meaning to a pink-haired European baddie flying a fighter jet, that hasn't stopped her from already stealing hearts. 

On Twitter, some fans have already declared they're ready to commit all manner of war crime in Ace Combat 8 as long as Tasha commands it. 

"They don't know that I'd dump white phosphorus on any civilian target in the world if she asked me to", writes Arc509.

Some have even decided to bring in warcrimes from other series, as a guy only known as The Dude so eloquently puts it: 

"Get in we're doing colony drops now", citing the destruction of Australia in the Mobile Suit Gundam series. 

Of course, to some having a cute new character to impress is simply icing on the cake, as series veterans are already used to doing horrible things for nothing more than love of the game. 

"So uhh, which ones am I committing for her I've already played every ace combat. I'm ready for more plane based warcrimes", writes user VaylenVT. 

If you're in the interest of being a contrarian, it's not like Tasha is the only eye candy in the game: Some fans have expressed just as much interest in Kate Evans, the other more serious pilot on your squad.
