Amelia Watson from Hololive EN Myth has dropped a bombshell announcement today- that she would be retiring at the end of the month.

In a surprise livestream, Amelia Watson announced her departure, but explicitly said that it wouldn't be a Graduation per se.

She did not clarify specifically what the reasons were, but only that her last day would be September 30th, with multiple livestreams counting down til then.

Cover Corporation also put out a statement, saying she would continue to be affiliated with the Vtuber company.

"Since her debut as a member of hololive English’s founding generation, hololive English -Myth-, she has actively provided her fans with unique content as well as participated in all sorts of activities beyond streaming that significantly contributed to spreading VTuber culture overseas. Though her channel activities will end, Watson Amelia will remain an affiliate of hololive production moving forward", the statement reads.

It's not quite clear exactly what this means for the talent behind the Vtuber, but Cover Corporation seems pretty clear that this would mark the end of her Vtuber career.

The announcement also comes just after the Hololive EN Myth 4th anniversary concert, where she also performed.

As part of the founding members of Hololive EN, Amelia Watson was the driving force behind a lot of the generation's more innovative ideas- such as a Hololive VR Chat room, complete with chibi models back when the generations' 3D Model debut had been delayed.

Her character had also made multiple appearances in fangames, such as the SmolAme platformer which was based on popular fanart by Walfie that eventually became an official mascot for her.
