The ROG G700 (2025) emerges as a formidable contender in the high-performance gaming desktop arena, poised to redefine the boundaries of immersive gameplay. Engineered by Republic of Gamers, this full-tower powerhouse is meticulously crafted with cutting-edge components to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience.

This isn't just a powerhouse of performance; it's a visual statement, a meticulously crafted full-tower desktop where cutting-edge technology meets a striking and purposeful design aesthetic. Republic of Gamers has long been recognized for its commitment to both power and style, and the ROG G700 embodies this philosophy with a chassis that commands attention and reflects the high-caliber hardware within.

Let’s take a closer look at this rather interesting desktop option from ROG.

The full-tower form factor of the ROG G700 provides a commanding presence, its sharp lines and aggressive angles immediately signaling its gaming pedigree. The design language is unmistakably ROG, featuring a dynamic interplay of textures and materials that create a sense of both robustness and futuristic sophistication.

Strategic venting and intricate detailing not only contribute to optimal airflow but also enhance the overall visual appeal, ensuring that performance and aesthetics go hand in hand.

Speaking of which, the ROG G700 employs a capable liquid cooling system for the CPU, along with a proven tri-fan cooler for the GeForce RTX 5080 PRIME graphics card. A triple-fan intake up front ensures plenty of cool, fresh air is sucked into the case, while the fans on the radiator and exhaust evacuate all the heat produced by the hardware efficiently.

Aside from the cooling, the ROG G700 also boasts some interesting design elements like this cool acrylic light plate beside a shroud that hides the 24-pin cable away from sight.

I would say that the cable management of this system is pretty decent, aside from the liquid cooler’s wiring that for some reason runs over the motherboard VRM cooler instead of being tucked away properly. Still, with the tool-less panels, fixing this minor flaw and upgrading the ROG G700 is going to be a piece of cake.

Moving further down the case, there’s also yet another plate that lights up with some template text about what it means to be “in the kingdom of games”. While I do appreciate the effort to make this PSU shroud light up in all of its AURA Sync glory, this large paragraph seems quite out of place, and I would have preferred if ROG decided to slap some ROG Cybertext here instead and spare us from this somewhat cringy detail.

Now onto the meat of this gaming desktop. At its core lies the potent Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 285K, the flagship CPU from Intel featuring the latest “Lion Cove” and “Skymont” P-core and E-core architectures, respectively. This processing prowess is seamlessly paired with the ground-breaking GeForce RTX 5080, boasting a substantial 16GB of GDDR7 video memory.

32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage round off the list of specifications, making for a seriously powerful gaming system.

Even at 4K Ultra with all the raytracing bells-and-whistles turned on, Cyberpunk 2077 was running very smoothly at over 60FPS on average. This was without using DLSS Multi Frame Generation. Meanwhile, in the ridiculously demanding Black Myth: Wukong, we were looking at around 35FPS without MFG, while turning it let us enjoy a much more playable 60FPS.

Taking a look out the back, we can see plenty of ports to ensure that all your peripherals and connectivity needs are well taken care of. I do wish there were more features like Thunderbolt 4 or maybe even Wi-Fi 7, and that ASUS used a full-sized motherboard given how much space there is in the case, but this is already plenty for any gaming needs that you might have.

However, the pursuit of ultimate gaming performance embodied by the ROG G700 (2025) inevitably translates to a significant financial investment. The cutting-edge nature of its components, particularly the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, positions it firmly within the premium segment of the gaming desktop market, potentially making it an aspirational product for a considerable portion of the gaming community.

The ROG G700 (2025) offers an easier path into the world of gaming desktop PCs, delivering a potent and future-proof platform for even the most demanding gamers. The sheer processing and graphical power, coupled with its advanced cooling, high-speed memory and storage, and comprehensive connectivity, make it an undeniably desirable machine.

However, it’s also quite pricey at RM14,999. While the ROG G700 is undoubtedly a gaming machine that will serve you well for years to come, there are quite a few avenues that will allow you to get more bang-for-your-buck, if you can forgo the exclusive ROG aesthetics that only the ROG G700 can offer.
