Chainsaw Man chapter 210 is undeniable truth on one fact: no one quite does it like Tatsuki Fujimoto.

Available to read now on the MangaPlus app, Chainsaw Man Chapter 210 has been wild in all the ways that's kept Chainsaw Man so good- whiplash pacing, shocking reveals and a bleak worldview that somehow makes the events of part one seem tame by comparison.

With that in mind, spoilers from here on out not just for Chainsaw Man Chapter 210 but the overall plot beats of the arc so far:

Chainsaw Man Chapter 210 Is All The Joy Of This Bizarre Little Shonen

Teased all the way at the start of Chainsaw Man Part 2, the shadow of the Nuclear Weapons Devil has hung over the story. After all, it along with the Gun and Tank Devils are described as being the children of Yoru- the War Devil.

Thanks to the reality-altering effects of the Chainsaw Devil, Nuclear Weapons just don't exist in this world anymore- but as we've learned Denji can puke up the devil, bringing it back into the world like he's done with the Mouth Devil and more.

So Yoru's plan to get nukes back has been, well, bizarre. She possessed a highschooler, tried to date Denji, gave him the world's worst handjob all in an attempt to own him and use her powers to force him to barf out her child. Clearly, the reality-erasing powers of the Chainsaw Devil are absolute if she has to degrade herself to high school antics just to get a nuke.

…That is, until Chainsaw Man Chapter 210, where they just come back naturally.

It's such a masterstroke on Fujimoto's part because it's so bleak. Part of the joy of Chainsaw Man's powers has been that they're never fully explained. Part 2 has been a wonderful walk through this process, particularly with the Black Chainsaw Man arc that saw him eat everything from ears to mouths to even the things that suspiciously all tie in to Denji's trauma.

And it turns out you can just remake those devils if you somehow monkey-typewriter your way into reinventing the concept.

Worse than that, it's that of all the things the Chainsaw Devil is implied to have eaten- this is the first time in-universe that something's come back. Of course, it had to be one of the frontrunners for humanity's greatest atrocities.

I love it because of how deliberately under-foreshadowed it is. 110 chapters have been arguing about who's using Pochita's powers correctly- from the Nostradamus Prophecy to the fake Chainsaw Men running around. Just for Yoru's personal goal to succeed entirely in the background. Nukes, ready to go.

And of course, it's not just a plot twist for the sake of a plot twist. The rest of Chainsaw Man Chapter 210 is a laughably scathing critique of both the world of Chainsaw Man and Fujimoto himself. Because despite being the concept of war itself, Yoru sincerely declares her love. Not for Denji, not for Asa, not even for her fellow horsemen.

Instead, she declares it for America, the country that almost entirely exists to make her stronger.

While many have critiqued the meandering direction of Chainsaw Man Part 2 I think Fujimoto's Wild Ride has been fairly great- Fujimoto's art has always been top notch, and the story thus far has served as a vehicle to talk about so much more interesting things than just Devil powerscaling.

It's just as bleak as the world we saw in Part 1- there's no comically evil politician at the center of it all making this happen. Instead cruelty is just a function of the world, and the devils are a function of that cruelty. I fully expect some kind of hopeful ending to this- Denji's role in Part 2 started with him showcasing that it's the relationships you have that make you happy, and that's always felt like the emotional heart of a series that started with Denji's quest to grope some boobs.

Of course, Chainsaw Man Chapter 210 where Chainsaw Man is at its strongest: Denji, once again at the whims of another horseman. I can't where else this goes.
