Netflix has announced that Devil May Cry Season 2 is "Coming soon", following the cliffhanger ending of the first season.
In a post on Twitter, the official Netflix account shared new key art of Dante along with the announcement.

No release date has been given for Devil May Cry Season 2 or even a rough outline for what fans to expect- though response to the first season has been divisive at best.
Where Devil May Cry Season 2 Could Go (Spoilers For Season 1)

Given the ending for the first season, it's pretty obvious that a big chunk of the second will focus on Darkcom as well as the US' invasion of Hell.
We're also probably going to see more of the two characters teased at the end of the first season- Arius, the CEO in charge of the operation in Hell as well as Nelo Angelo/Vergil.

Still, the fun part about the first season's complete disregard for game canon means there's no real precedent for where the series could go: in this version, Vergil is loyal to Mundus, while neither he nor Dante have their complicated relationship with Sparda.
