Surreal AC-bu Creations Can Now Be Set as In-Game Character Illustrations

Video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Koichi Watanabe, hereinafter referred to as “Cygames”) has announced the addition of AC-bu illustrations coming to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR), developed by Arc System Works Co., Ltd. for the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam platforms, on April 1 (JST).

AC-bu Illustrations Now Available In-Game!

Illustrations featuring the Fanblue Grantasy versions of all 35 playable characters can be purchased from the in-game Rupie Shop! These illustrations will continue to be available after April Fools’.

AC-bu is a creative team known especially for their high-energy and highly-condensed expressive imagery. Over the years they have received numerous awards after their first grand prix prize at the NHK Digital Stadium Awards.

Notable music videos they have produced include group_inou’s “THERAPY,” Orange Range’s “Sushi Tabetai feat. Soy Sauce,” and Powder’s “New Tribe” among many others. They are also known for their work creating Bob Epic Team, a regular segment of the globally acclaimed animation program Pop Team Epic.
