Forever Young Umamusume Debut: Cygames President's Own Horse Comes To The Game

Umamusume Pretty Derby has announced a lineup of new horses coming to the Japanese version of the game, alongside the long-awaited debut of Cygames' own  Forever Young. 

Announced at a special broadcast over the weekend, the following characters will be joining the Umamusume roster: 

• Forever Young
• Marche Lorraine
• Epiphaneia
• Logotype
• Viktoria Pisa
• Rose Kingdom Rulership
• Casino Drive

Naturally, these characters aren't coming to the English version just yet- though just like with Stay Gold's debut, that doesn't mean Umamusume fans aren't celebrating regardless of their versions of the game.

The Deal With Forever Young In Umamusume

While its only natural for Umamusume to update its roster with new characters based on real horses, Forever Young is an exception in multiple ways- for one, the real horse is still active, having just won the Breeder's Cup Classic and Saudi Cup- with the latter being where it was confirmed that they would make an Umamusume based off the horse. 

The second is because of who exactly owns Forever Young- the only reason people are so eagerly anticipating the Umamusume's debut is because hte real horse is owned by Susumu Fujita, founder of CyberAgent, parent company of Cygames. 

The horse's prestige also comes from the fact its birthday also lines up with the game itself: Forever Young was born on February 24th, 2021- the same date that the Japanese version of the game began service.

In-game, a lot of these traits are represented in the Umamusume herself- she's a gyaru looking to innovate the world of Umamusume, and her background specifically mentions her experience watching both races and business deals- just like the child of a CEO would. 

While not fully playable yet, Forever Young will instead be coming to game as an SSR support card- being able to provide new skills for your Career Uma in the new Beyond Dreams scenario.
