Genshin Impact 5.7 Update Puts The Twins Front And Center Again

HoYoverse has announced the release date for the Genshin Impact 5.7 update, adding a dramatic new chapter to the Teyvat story.

According to the new trailer, the Genshin Impact 5.7 update drops June 18th, and sees the addition of a long-running character to the game's roster of characters.

For story heads, this update features another big step forward in the personal story of the Travelers- the Archon Quest sees the Traveler's sibling mobilizing the Abyss Order in Natlan, as Dainsleif joins the front lines to help you push back the forces of the abyss.

Additionally, the version will add new game modes, such as an auto battler as well as the combat mode Stygian Onslaught that allows you to challenge bosses with escalating levels of difficulty.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Characters

The major 5-star for the update is Skirk, master of Fatui Harbringer Childe.

A 5-star Cryo character, Skirk has two unique gimmicks to set her apart from the rest of the pack: the first being her two stances, with one focused on powerful normal attacks while the other focuses on her Elemental Burst.

The other is how cshe charges it- unlike other characters, Skirk doesn't use Elemental Energy, instead pulling from her special Serpent's Subtlety resource.

This version also sees the introduction of a new 4-star, Dahlia, a Deacon for the Chuch of Favonius.

Dahlia's elemental burst creates a renewable shield, and gets re-upped with normal attacks and freeze reactions.

Similarly, for less numbers-driven players, his Talent allows him to boost attack speed, while his Elemental Skill throws other characters into the air.
