With the end of the Invincible Vs Beta, the developers have announced they're looking at fixing the game's rage quit problem.

Over the weekend, players reportedly played over 2 million matches- yet the biggest story coming out of the beta was its problem with rage quitters, born from a mix of casual non-fighting game players not wanting to get stuck in long combos as well as more malicious players competing to get into the game's credits by holding a top 20 position on the leaderboard.

In a new blog post, Quarter Up said that the team would be implementing features discouraging rage quits in the full game, such as counting disconnects as a loss for the player who disconnects.

Frequent rage quitters would also ultimately find it harder to get new matches, as the team explores ways to "Keep frequent leavers out of the ranked queue".

That doesn't mean the team is holding you at gunpoint to play your match against Justin Wong, however- as they also said that players who want a lower-stress experience will still be able to enjoy casual and single-player games when the game launches on April 30th, as opposed to the Rank-only state of the beta.

Invincible VS Rage Quits

Rage quitting was seen as one of the most prominent issues during the beta, with many a Twitch clip showing players disconnecting mid-match.

This lead to a frustrating time for all players involved- ones who just wanted to get games in were being infinitely edged as their opponents bailed the moment they were getting hit.

Quarter Up has also announced balalnce changes for characters who weren't even playable yet, with an overall scope targeting making punishing blocked and whiffed moves easier as well as toning down touch-of-death combos.
