As far as games with Tokusatsu homages go, there's nothing quite like Kirk Mephisto, a recently announced indie game.

Targeting the most niche of the niche and developed by Team Coreupt, Kirk Mephisto is a character action game where you pull off flashy combos on enemies.

The game has no release date yet, though the developers did put out a gameplay trailer showing off the titles combat.

In the short gameplay trailer, we get to see just how hard Kirk Mephisto goes with its character action influences- combos involve all forms of technical skill use, like Trick Downs and launchers to keep enemies in long combo strings.

Players play as Kirk, an earthworm who serves Halice The Worm Princess in their ongoing conflict against the Mecha-Sect Horde.

Kirk's gameplay involves some form of weapon switching, as we see him using both his bare fists as well as a big sword.

According to the game's Steam page, the title will also include Story mode and Arcade Mode, as well as an End Game Challenge Tower, probably similar to Bloody Palace in a Devil May Cry game.
