Kunimitsu Release Date Announced For Tekken 8

Bandai Namco Entertainment has put out the release date for the upcoming Tekken 8 character Kunimitsu, the first one out the gate for its Season 3 DLC.

Revealed at EVO Japan 2026, Kunimitsu will release in Tekken 8 on May 27th for Season pass holders, while being available for individual purchase on June 1st. 

Similar to Tekken 7, the Kunimitsu in this game will be the second of her name, having inherited the title from her mother.

True to form, Kunimitsu is a highly tricky rushdown character, having access to multiple tools to enforce powerful mixups. 

These include fast strikes, as well as a fast fall and teleports to keep opponents on their toes as she repositions to take advantage of better openings. 

Additionally, she also gains a flowing red scarf in Heat mode, which allows her to do more powerful ninja arts.
