Malaysian novelist Hilal Asyraf has put out an animated short promoting his fantasy novel series Nirnama.

Made in collaboration with Mintt Studio, the animated short titled NIRNAMA Vs Tok Long Senyum sees the epic showdown between Nirnama and the creature Tok Long Senyum.

In the introduction, Hilal Asyraf mentions that he'd spent RM50,000 commissioning the short- which features an epic fight scene between the two characters as Nirnama resists the temptations of evil thanks to his faith.

This is far from the only Nirnama project announced, however.

Ejen Ali studio Wau Animation has also announced they would be working on their own adaptation of the fantasy novel series.

More About Nirnama

Published in 2021, Nirnama: Hikayat Pendekar Tanpa Nama (lit. Nirmaya: The Story Of The Hero With No Name) is one of many works penned by Hilal Asyraf, and is a fantasy epic about the aforementioned Nirnama.

It joins the rest of the author's works promoting pro-Islam messaging, with a focus on front-and-center religious characters.
