Marathon Server Slam Lets You Try The Game For Free Ahead of Launch

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the Marathon Server Slam, an open beta for fans to try the game out for free ahead of its launch on March 5th

The Marathon Server Slam will be available from February 26th to March 2nd on PS5 and other platforms, and will give players special rewards such as emblems and player banners. 

In addition, players who are subbed to PlayStation Plus can also get special in-game cosmetics, with gun charms based on Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2 and Helldivers 2. 

Marathon Server Slam Content

While it won't have the content from Season 1 in the game, the free access to the game will include the following content: 

• Two zones:
  • Perimeter
  • Dire Marsh
• Take on the opening contracts for five of Marathon’s factions
• Try out all six Runner Shells, plus Rook in scavenger mode
• Solo queue, proximity chat, and more

Once Season 1 drops, the game will also be getting two more zones, as well as Ranked mode and full contract and progression trees.
