Capcom has unveiled Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance, the major expansion for last year's Monster Hunter Wilds.
Slated only for a 2027 release date, Monster Hunter Wilds will be releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S as well as PC.
Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance Features
The new expansion promises to fill one noticeable gap from the base game, as The Hunter heads to the Eastlands in search of Elder Dragons- a keystone of endgame Monster Hunter content.
As is usually the plot in these games players will have to get to the bottom of what exactly is happening with the weather, seemingly being manipulated by the Elder Dragons.
The trailer shows off one brand new flying Wyvern, as well as a familiar face: Kushala Daora.
It even ends with a trailer for a bigger, more familiar face: Lao Shan Lung.

In addition, they've also shown off the new gameplay mechanic for the expansion, known as the Boost Bracer.
Acting like a wrist-mounted engine, this item adds new moves to each of the weapons, such as enhanced strikes for the Greatsword.
