SEGA and Atlus have announced the P5X release date, bringing the mobile spinoff for Persona 5 out of China onto PC and console.

The P5X release date has been set for June 26th, though there's a catch- despite being dubbed a global release, the game is skipping the SEA region as well as several other countries.

This even applies to the Steam versions of the game, whereby the game page isn't accessible if you're not from the correct region.

This isn't entirely uncommon: Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis and NieR Reincarnation did the same thing, often because they need to find a specialized publisher for the game in those regions.

P5X Release Date Comes With Gameplay

For those not in the loop, Persona 5 The Phantom X (abbreviated to P5X) is a mobile spinoff and B-side to Persona 5, featuring an all new cast of Phantom Thieves.

Players will take part in the standard Persona fair- having daily activities as well as dungeon crawling with your party members.

While the main cast is made up of all-new characters, that doesn't mean familiar faces don't show up- the Chinese server for the game has previously had collaborations with Persona 5, and also recently announced one with Persona 3 Reload.
