Path of Exile Mirage Update Features A New Ascendancy That Changes Every League

Grinding Gear Games has announced Path of Exile Mirage, the newest update coming to the ARPG. 

Path of Exile Mirage drops on March 6th,and features a new league, as well as a new ascendancy class and reworked endgame. 

Some of these changes even include new Holy Skills, as well as Maraketh weapons that can be transformed to unlock new abilities. 

Path of Exile Mirage League

The star of the update is the new Mirage League, giving players a new way to experience the game. 

In the Mirage League, players will have to build face off against the Afarud, who have captured the powerful Djinn to drain their energy for an unknown purpose. 

Players will need to work with Varashta, the ancient Maraketh sorceress to go into the Astral Realm and free these Djinn. 

Freeing the Djinn will involve having to clear particular maps, with a twist- the Djinn's mirages are copies of the map they're in, including League modifiers and more, allowing players to replay completed endgame content. 

They'll also be able to get Wishes from Varashta, modifying their drops like converting Scrolls of Wisdom to other currencies or even gaining invulnerability in the Mirage. 

Players can even pick up the rare Coin drops, which can corrupt skills and add effects from random support gems. 

Reliquarian Ascendancy Class

It's not all about the new league and Maraketh items- the new update will also add a new Ascendancy Class for the Scion. 

The Reliquarian is a scholar from Oriath Academy, and can draw their power from Unique items that change with every expansion. 

In this update, players can choose from the following for the Reliquarian: 

• Unique Armour: Victario’s Influence increases the level of all your Auras and gives them a much larger area of effect, or instead take Kiloava’s Bluster, giving one a chance to have extreme Elemental Resistance against incoming hits.
• Unique Weapon: Widowhail greatly increases the bonuses gained from your Quiver, or Maata’s Teaching, causing one’s Minon’s Critical Strike Chance with attacks to be equal to your Main Hand Weapon’s.
• Unique Jewellery: Astral Projector causes Nova spells to cast from enemies rather than from the character, or take Astramentis, simply giving you a huge boost to all attributes.

Atlas Rework

Affecting the endgame loop, the Path of Exile Mirage update also adds a rework to the series Atlas mechanic. 

This includes letting players choose which specific tileset they want and only farming for the specific tier of map, as well as the removal of Tier 17 maps and reworking them into Uber Pinnacle nodes. 

In addition, some quality of life changes have also been made, such as the removal of Cartographer's Chisels and Map Device Crafts.
