Thankfully, the game isn't pay-to-win. There is no RM300 Gholdengo ticket, though the model may be more familiar to anyone who plays Pokemon Go.
Similarly, Held Items are only bought with VP, wihich is earned through in-game grinding.
Pokemon Champions Microtransaction List
There are mainly three microtransactions in Pokemon Champions. Two of these deal with what appears to be the game's main source of revenue: box space. This will be ultimately limited based on how many of your Pokemon you transfer over, or scout from the game's own pull system.
The Starter Pack is the first of these purchases, where you can pay RM31.90 and get additional resources like training tickets and quick tickets, as well as additional box space.
It also includes new Versus music from the Let's Go! Pikachu and Eevee games.
Additionally, players can also buy the Membership, a monthly subscription to the game that costs RM22.90 a month with an optional annual plan. This option includes up to 1000 more box spaces, as well as 15 more Battle Teams, exclusive missions and exclusive battle songs.
Finally, players can also purchase a Premium Battle Pass, similar to other free-to-play games. Matches will earn you battle pass progress regardless of if you win or lose, and can include customization items for your trainer as well as Pokemon and Mega Stones.
