The Pokemon Company has announced ports of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen coming to the Nintendo Switch next week to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green.

The Pokemon Company has announced ports of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen coming to the Nintendo Switch next week to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green. 

Announced today, the remakes will be available next week on February 27th- after the hotly anticipated Pokemon Day livestream celebrating the games' 30th anniversary. 

According to the Malaysian Nintendo eshop, the games will be available as digital-only products for RM80.36

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen Switch Version Features

While the website makes no mention of Pokemon Home compatibility, the Nintendo Switch versions of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen will include wireless communication- letting you chat and trade Pokemon with other trainers. 

In addition, these versions of the game will also include the Sevii Islands- postgame content that allowed players to catch more legendary Pokemon.
