The Pokemon Company has announced the 10th generation of Pokemon games, with their upcoming titles Pokemon Wind and Waves.
The new games won't be releasing this year, instead with Pokemon Wind and Waves set to release in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2.

That being said, players got to see the new locale, with a tropical island theme as well as the game's locales such as beaches, forests and volcanoes.
Similar to other recent games it looks like wild Pokemon will be visible in the overworld, interacting with their environments like Tympole spending its time in the water.

Fans of the Gen 3 games have one more thing to look forward too, though, as it looks like Ocean floor exploration is back as the trailer ends on one such biome crawling with Pokemon.
Pokemon Wind and Waves Starters

Naturally, a new generation also means new starter Pokemon, and the livestream showed off the three new faces that can join your trainer on their journey.
These include Browt, a bird-like grass starter Pokemon, as well as Pombon, the dog-like fire starter and Gecqua, the lizard-like water Pokemon.
