Retrun To Racoon City In Resident Evil Requiem

While not a direct sequel, Resident Evil Requiem sees the return of players to Raccoon City- the iconic location of Resident Evil 2 that gets nuked.
It's a game steeped in series history, as players step into the shoes of Grace Ashcroft, daughter of Outbreak series character Alyssa Ashcroft as well as series favorite Leon S Kennedy, a survivor of the original Raccoon City Incident.

Despite all the history, Game Director Koshi Nakanishi has said it's not a direct sequel to Outbreak or Resident Evil 2- encouraging fans to jump in even if it was their first Resident Evil game.
"You definitely don't need to catch up on anything to enjoy this game", Nakanishi promisesd when we spoke to him at gamescom last year. "Even if you never played a Resident Evil game before, you can pick up Resident Evil Requiem and enjoy it 100%".
"If you're a fan and you know Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, Outbreak, those games set in Raccoon City, I think you'll get a little extra out of it because you'll understand the lore and connections and easter eggs. That's like you're getting 120%".
