SEGA has announced almost a year's worth of collabs with anime space animate, across the brand's branches both in and out of Japan.

SEGA has announced almost a year's worth of collabs with anime space animate, across the brand's branches both in and out of Japan. 

The collabs, which run from June all through January 2027 will feature a huge list of IPs from SEGA's stable, including mainstays like Sonic The Hedgehog as well as Angry Birds. 

These will affect the different animate sub-branches, such as the Gratte cafe as well as animate Fair. 

SEGA has stressed that these collabs are not just limited to animate stores in Japan or even just the Ikebukuro stores- instead they will be coming to international outlets like animate London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and even our own animate Kuala Lumpur. 

In addition to merchandise and special drinks with custom labels featuring popular characters, some of these collabs will even feature hands-on stations to try out SEGA titles. 

SEGA animate Collabs Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok Schedule

The order of the collabs are as follows: 

Sonic The Hedgehog 

  • ONLY SHOP & Fair: June 21st to 21st
  • Fair: June 6th to 28th
  • Gratte: June 6th to 28th

PUYOPUYO

  • Fair: February 2027
  • Gratte: July 11th to August 2nd 2026 for animate Kuala Lumpur and animate Bangkok

Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage

  • ONLY SHOP & Fair: August 15th to September 6th for animate Kuala Lumpur and animate Bangkok
  • Gratte: August 15th to September 6th for animate Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok
