Good Knight Collective has announced SEPAK U, an upcoming Sepak Takraw game with Smash-inspired fighting game mechanics.
While the game has no release date yet, the official Steam Page lists the game as targeting a 2027 release date, and it features 1-4 player support.
SEPAK U Gameplay

The developers have said the game is inspired by Sepak Takraw, putting players on opposite sides of a net as they need to stop the ball from landing on their side of the court.
To this end, the game features controls similar to platform fighters like Super Smash Bros, as players need to move across the stage and control the direction in which they spike the ball.

That being said, SEPAK U also features 21 characters, all with their own special moves that can be deployed in fights.
These include a chicken who can spawn eggs that can act as both platforms and projectiles, as well as straight-up shooting rockets to anti-air your opponent before they can stop the ball from thitting the ground.
