Silent Hill f Drops Spooky New Trailer

Konami has put out a new trailer for Silent Hill f, their upcoming new installment in the Silent Hill franchise written by Ryukichi07.

While the new trailer doesn't show any gameplay, it does an impeccable job setting up the tone for Silent Hill f- with its new setting of a rural Japanese town.

Konami have also not revealed the release date for the title, though it is available to wishlist on  PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S consoles or on PC via Steam, Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store.

Silent Hill f Story

The game follows Shimizu Hinako- an unremarkable girl who suddenly sees a thick fog overtake her town as horrors come to life.

In typical Silent Hill fashion, this means dealing with a healthy mix of puzzles and enemies, like a shambling creature covered in spider-lillies.

The game's story is written by Higurashi and Umineko author Ryukishi07, who had this to say about the series:

To this day, I remember the feeling of my first encounter with the strangling and oppressive atmosphere of SILENT HILL. It still deeply haunts me, and it still utterly fascinates me. It's an honor to find myself involved with a series I have so many memories with. I've poured all my efforts into this story, so much so that I don't think I would mind if it was the last thing I ever wrote.

To me, the SILENT HILL series is more than just a collection of stories, it's a medium; an amazing, phenomenal way of exploring and experiencing a person's heart and mind. It's my hope that players out there will come to appreciate it in the same way. To all of our overseas friends, I hope you'll enjoy a look at what SILENT HILL might be like if set somewhere a little different, like Japan.

In addition, Silent Hill f features the visual stylings of illustrator kera, as well as the musical stylings of series veteran Akira Yamaoka.

The project is spearheaded by Motoi Okamoto, who is a producer on the game. .
