Having played the Sonic Racing Crossworlds beta, you start to appreciate a lot of the technical things in the game. The wide tracks are great for drifting, taking advantage of tricks or even the unique vehicle-type mechanics like jumping on Sea vehicles to build speed.
Wreaking Havoc With The Sonic Racing Crossworlds Monster Truck

Those are all fine and dandy, but then you see the Sonic Racing Crossworlds Monster Truck. To put it simply, this is a giant vehicle that makes it so not only do you not lose speed hitting corners- you can also flatten the competition by driving over them.
I know what you're thinking. It's a random power up, who cares, right?

Thanks to the gadget system, you can now spend 3 Gadget slots to guarantee a Monster Truck at the start of the race. The Sonic Racing Crossworlds Monster Truck is such a fun chaotic way to start the race that I feel giddy knowing just before we start, everyone can see the Monster Truck in my hand. It's all the glee of a cat knowing you don't want it to knock over a vase- and then doing it anyways.
If there's anything Umamusume has taught me, it's that the start of a race can be a huge factor in the final result. Sure, I may get outplayed later down the track. But just know that as long as my Monster Truck is in-hand at the start of the race, it'll never be a fun and friendly competition.
We're standing on business while my truck stands on you.
