State of Play June 2026 Announcements- Here's What You Missed

Kicking off the Summer Games Fest festivities, PlayStation has just wrapped up their June 2026 edition of the State of Play livestream. 

Unlike the previous livestream, this one was much heavier focused on first party titles, with in-depth looks at games like Marvel's Wolverine, as well as the reveal of a new game in the God of War universe. 

With that in mind, here are the announcements from the State of Play June 2026 livestream:

Marvel's Wolverine Gameplay Reveal

PlayStation kicked off the show with a new gameplay reveal for Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine, showing off Jean Grey as a supporting character for the game as well as extended combat sequences soaked in the game's bloody combat. 

A short snippet also showed Mystique, Deadpool, Sabertooth as well as Omega Red.

Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Reveals Doctor Doom's Team

Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls has unveiled the second-last team for the game, with the Knights of Doom joining the fray. 

This team has Doctor Doom as its lead, and consists of Magneto, Green Goblin and Carnage.

Rayman Legends Retold

The Rayman remake launches October 1st 2026, featuring Co-op and a new area.

Bancho The Chef

Kemuri Unveils First Look Trailer

Studio UNSEEN has pulled the lid on their debut game, co-op Yokai hunting game Kemuri. 

This game features up to three player co op, as you use Yokai powers 

The game is coming to PS5 in 2027

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis Release Date

The remake of Tomb Raider drops February 12th. 

The Lost Wild

Published by Annapurna Interactive and coming in 2027, this game sees  you avoiding dinosaursin the wild as a present day human. 

Phantom Blade Zero

Dune Awakening Coming to PS5

The Dune MMO is heading to PS5 on September 22nd, complete with a single player mode for players who want to live in the alternate retelling of the Dune stories. 

Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered

The game launches October 1st. 

No Rest For The Wicked

The co-op ARPG is getting a 1.0 release, with cross play and cross save

Onimusha Way of the Sword Release Date

In a dramatic new trailer, Capcom confirmed that Onimusha Way of the Sword will release on September 25th.  In addition, the game is getting a demo, available today. 

Silent Hill Townfall Release Date Announced

The new Silent Hill game drops September 24th. 

Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve

Bandai Namco Entertainments' dogfighting action game got a full story trailer, featuring landships, plane action military drama galore. 

The game launches October 2nd. 

Those who pre order the game will also get access to a port of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War

Launching in 2027, this survival horror game sees you playing as a coma patient suddenly under attack by monsters

Control Resonant

The action follow up to Control launches September 24th 2026. 

Marathon Nightfall 

The new season of Marathon comes with a free weekend, as well as a chance to pick up Bungie's extraction shooter on sale.

Until Dawn 2

Coming in 2027, the surprise reveal sees a group of ghost hunters come to a tropical island when they are suddenly attacked. 

God of War Laufey

The final reveal of the showcase, God of War Laufey has you playing as Faye, Kratos' wife who dies at the start of the 2018 game. 

Sporting similar action gameplay, you have to play as Faye as she goes through the Gods' afterlife- hoping to find a way to get out.
