Claude Guillemot, co founder of games industry titan Ubisoft has died in a plane crash, at the age of 69.
In a statement from Ubisoft (via Reuters), the company confirmed the passing of one of its co founders, who headed the Guillemot Corporation.
Ouest France reports that Guillemot died in a plane crash in La Baule, on France's Atlantic Coast on Friday, ahead of an air show to be held over the weekend.
He and one other passenger died in the accident.

Alongside his role as Executive Vice President in charge of Operations at Ubisoft, Claude was also CEO and Chairman of Guillemot Corporation- the company's hardware arm.
At the company, he oversaw the development of various PC accessory brands, such as Hercules and Thrustmaster.

Thrustmaster is best known for its driving-themed peripherals, such as steering wheels, pedals and even flight controls.
