Cygames Umamusume Pretty Derby launched on Steam yesterday, with fans champing at the bit for its global release.

It looks like the game is doing pretty well for itself, too- right out the gate, SteamDB reports Umamusume Pretty Derby hitting 25,000 concurrent players, less than 24 hours after it hit the starting line.
This week has been a big week for gacha games releasing on Steam- Umamusume finds itself saddled next to Persona5 The Phantom X, which is having its global (sans SEA) release on the same day.
Similarly, Blue Archive is also set to make its launch soon, after the game was delayed pending approval by Steam.
Umamusume Pretty Derby And Its Cult Like Status

Despite not being available in English for years, Umamusume as a brand has been a mainstay of the gacha community- fans had been trotting to any official media from the IP, be it anime, movies or even art.
Similarly, even in its previous limited release, Pretty Derby had gone toe-to-toe with other giants in the Gacha game sphere, like Fate/Grand Order and Genshin Impact.
Pretty Derby sees you acting as a trainer for Umamusume- characters inspired by real-life race horses as you compete in events.
The game features both single-player and multiplayer content, as you trot and gallop your way to victory with all your favorite Umamusume.
