Netflix has put out the first trailer for its Western Kakegurui live action, with its English name being simply dubbed "Bet".
Bet launches May 15th on Netflix, and a new trailer shows some of the show's takes on various popular Kakegurui characters.
Kakegurui Live Action Synopsis

Despite sharing the same school uniforms and a few other key imagery, the Western Kakegurui live action series isn't a shot-for-shot remake of the anime- instead it's a more loose adaptation with elements of a murder mystery thrown in.
In Bet, Yumeko comes to the prestigious academy St. Dominic's on a specific quest: vengeance.
Specifically, Yumeko is looking for her family, who supposedly disappeared at the school.

However, just like in the manga, there's a catch with the academy, where social status is determined by your ability to win in gambling.

It should be noted that as far as motivations go, manga Yumeko doesn't actually have one- implications about her family are made, but as far as the two seasons on Netflix go she's basically just in it for the thrill of gambling.
This also isn't even the first live action series on Netflix- a Japanese-made adaptation also exists, which was successful enough to get its own movie.
